Fundamentals Beginner Watercolour Workshop

Wanting to learn the fundamental skills you need to enjoy working with watercolour? Or do you already have a bit of experience but want to really understand how to get the colour you want in your work? This workshop is for you!

All experiences welcome to join this Fundamentals Watercolour workshop where Rundle Collective resident studio artist Bianca Hoffrichter will guide you through a journey of understanding colour in a practical way. Covering the most easily made mistakes, providing an overview of all general materials and basic skills needed to really enjoy your watercolour painting. This workshop will include:

  • a take home starter kit of 12 tube watercolours

  • a range of take home watercolour brushes

  • artist quality watercolour paper

  • take home A4 case

All materials will be provided in the session - however, if you have paints you wish to use you are welcome to bring them along as well! You will leave this session with practical colour and technique guides made by you during the session as well as all basics you need to keep painting after the workshop without needing to spend lots of money on materials.

The session will run for 3 hours with a short break for tea or coffee (provided on site cost inclusive). If you wish to bring a morning/afternoon tea snack please feel free to do so!

Where are the workshops held?

The Rundle Collective Studios is located in Gawler Place near Rundle Mall.

58 Gawler Pl, Adelaide SA 5000

The studios are accessed through a glass door which is next to the National Pharmacies and Paradigm Zone Arcade (opposite Daiso).
You will need to contact the artist for entry into the building and lifts as it is key card access only. You can contact the artist on 0459 946 479 and their phone number will be on the door as well.
The studio has 2 lovely workshop spaces which are seperate from the main artist studios easily accessible via the internal lift. The workshop space also has access to our shared kitchen, accessible bathrooms on each level just next to the lifts.
